Full week.

So I feel like life is set to full speed ahead. Full fledged adult hood with no looking back.

This week, Bob and I are:
1. Looking for a new house
2. Looking for a new vehicle
3. Talking about when to have babies
4. Discussing the pros and cons of me going back to school (again)
5. When to sit back and take a breath

Wish us luck. We're gonna need it to figure all this shit out.

Oops. I did it again.

Yes, yes I did. I did it. And I did it proudly. I bought white pants. Oh gah. What have I done?!

In the past, I've avoided white pants. At all costs. Like the plague. Today, I was in Banana Republic (which is now my go-to for work pants) uh, buying some more pants (shhh- Bob doesn't need to know... until he looks at my checking account and sees ANOTHER B.R. charge).

And so, I found them today. White pants. Lined. Cuffed. Straight leg. Sits low on waist. ON FINAL SALE FOR $29. Which means no returns. So I bought them. And I've already taken them to the cleaners to have the front pockets cut out and sewn shut so there's nothing to shadow or see through.

I figure, if I wear them, awesome. I've overcome my severe aversion to white pants, and can move forward through life. And if I don't wear them, I wasted $29. And I'll give them away to someone next time I clean out my closet (which will be soon... it's been a whole year and the time has come).

If/when I wear them, I may even post a picture. That'll be picture worthy for sure. A once in a lifetime (or 32-ish years) photo op.

I'm nervous already.

Valentine's Day.

So I typically don't celebrate Valentine's Day. I don't protest it or have anything against society as they celebrate. My Mamaw died on February 13 a few years ago, and I had to go pick out the flowers for her funeral on Valentine's Day. Soooo. This date is usually just a sad reminder...

Knowing how Bob likes to celebrate every conceivable holiday, I participated this year and I was excited to do it for him. I struggled on what to get him, and finally decided on a man bouquet, thanks to Pinterest. His "bouquet" had duck tape, hot sauce, airplane liquor bottles, beef jerky, Big League Chew, some valentines candy, cigars, some Grizzly (to encourage his bad habit), and sock monkey.

Tangent time: So sock monkey's have kinda become our thing. I'm too lazy to see if I even explained Monkeytoes previously on this blog. When we sleep or cuddle, we grasp each others big toes with our big toes and kinda link them together. Anyway, that's where monkeytoes comes from. For his last deployment, I bought a mini baby sock monkey (nicknamed Don Juan), sprayed a shit ton of my perfume on him, and put him in a plastic bag.  So DJ went to Afghanistan, came home, and now lives in my office. ANYWAY.

He and the fuzzy butts got me candy, lily's, which are one of my fave flowers, and some Nook gift cards. It was perfect. We stayed home last night and cooked dinner. He grilled steaks and I made bang bang shrimp and we had some cheddar stuffed potatoes from the deli. After dinner, we just watched movies. It was awesome.

The fuzzy butts got involved in Valentine's day too. Here's the card they sent to their Grandma, their MP, and Bob. Oh and all of facebook, of course.

This and that.

Well hellllloooo there. I know. It's been a while. Not much has been going on.

I started my new job on Monday and it's everything I wanted it to be and more. It's literally perfect. I mean, I'm three days in, so things could change, but as of now, it's incredible. I have loved every single overwhelming, sweat induced second of it! It's been almost a year since I've had a real job. By real job, I mean actively work for 8+ hours per day. This is a hard freaking transition! My whole body hurts, I'm completely exhausted by the time I see my last patient, and my brain has a good cry on the commute home. But I LOVE IT!

I'm not much of television person. I mean, I don't count my Bravo addiction as television watching. That's just part of life. However, I've started watching three shows recently and I'm hooked. Now I know NCIS has been on the air for a while, but I've just started watching it. And not even the new ones... I watch the ones that come on (USA?) late at night. I've also picked up The Americans and The Following, which I started watching while Bob was gone. I had dvr'd them and got so freaked out I had to wait until daylight to finish. Gah. Stressful!

I've also been catching up on the movies I've missed in the last few months. Not having a husband at home can really damped your movie going. I've gone to a couple by myself, but there are several I missed. Such as, Flight. Holy freaking balls. If you're a pilot's wife or someone who flies a lot, don't watch that movie. I literally lost my dinner during the crash scene WHILE I WAS CRYING my eyeballs out. Omg. Dude. As a) a pilots wife and b) someone who flies pretty regularly, I shouldn't have seen it.

So that about rounds out my last couple of weeks.
