Or maybe the 4am oil, perhaps.
Charlie has his first cold. A cold that he apparently picked up AT the doctors office earlier this week. I adore our pediatrician and his staff. They are all awesome. I don't, however, love their waiting room. There is no division between perfectly healthy newborns there for their well baby checks and the snot nosed, puking, or bleeding 1-18 year olds. It's just aggravating. To go to the doctor and then get sick.
So anyway. We're dealing (meaning, I'm freaking out) with this new illness. I never knew baby poop could be so disgusting. My facebook friends have told me it gets worse, but holy balls. Tonight I made Bob change him. It was just as bad as it was last night. It literally seems like something crawled in his ass and died, and then came back out as green pudding. Yes, I know you all wanted that vision. Sorry. If I have to deal, so do you. You're lucky Bob didn't get his way tonight... He wanted to take a picture of it and send it to his friends. Thank GOD he didn't have his phone in the room with him, and I refused to go get it.
Bob goes back to work next week, and I'm already dreading it. It's going to suck being here alone. Not just dealing with Charlie alone, but actually being alone and not having anyone to talk to. I've had at least one other person in this house every day since February 21. It's going to be so quiet and boring here, and I've already binge-watched all of Orange is the New Black. Damn Netflix... I didn't realize the new season wasn't out yet.

Who needs drugs? ME.
Migraines while pregnant suck. Royally. They need to develop Imitrex for pregnant women. Seriously.
Two migraines in 4 days. Feels like college all over again. Except without the Imitrex and alcohol. Bleh.
This morning I ended up knocking back 4 Tylenol, a can of Dr Pepper, half a bar of chocolate from World Market, and put myself back to bed. I'm somewhat alive at this point, but gah.

Sickly.
So at my last appointment with Dr J, we talked about my gastroparesis.
Use The Google to see what that is. Anyway, my main symptom is vomiting,
and it's been fairly under control during my pregnancy. Dr J had warned
me that it typically gets worse during pregnancy, but I thought I had
dodged a bullet. I was wrong.
At this point, I've gotten over my morning sickness and my allergies, but now my GP has flared up and my ankles have started to swell.
I'm so ready for baby to be here!!

Sickly, but excited.
I hate to sound ungrateful or complainy, but gah. Being pregnant can
suck. Especially during ragweed season. I'm so sick, and apparently I
can't take a decongestant. I go to my doctor tomorrow, mainly to find
out what Baby is (!!!!!!), but also to talk about my snottiness.
I always knew pregnancy would be difficult. I'd been hoping otherwise, but had a sinking feeling it wouldn't be easy. Between my back, my sinuses, and my exhaustion, I'm barely making it through the day. To say I'm ready to meet this little bundle would be an understatement... obviously for more than one reason!

Pickles and....
Well. I've had my first weird craving. Pickles at all isn't weird. I've
loved pickles my whole life. But washed down with orange juice is new. I
bought a jar of pickles at the store yesterday, and I've eaten them
already. Paired with orange juice, of course.
The oj is good right now. I'm struggling with a raging sinus infection, which sucks even more while pregnant. I'm waiting on a call from my doc about drugs I can take. It's weird to me to think about what I take, what I put in my body, now that I'm pregnant. Drug users and addicts abuse all sorts of things while pregnant, and they have seemingly healthy babies all the time. And here I'm concerned about medicine that would make me human again. It's a hard fine line to walk. Or to nap on. Whatever.

Weekend Recap.
I have done very little this weekend. Definitely not enough for a recap.
Yesterday, I continued to be sickly and basically did nothing. I ventured out last night to go over to a friends house to watch some football. And drink a bottle of wine. And guess who paid for that this morning? Yeah. Me. Not cool. In fact, I may be sicker now that I was yesterday. Way much fun.
Today wasn't much better. I ate as much grease as I could get my hands on in an effort to feel better. It didn't work. Then I got bored.
So I've been eyeing the bottom/underneath of our front door. It's nasty looking and needed to be painted. So. I painted it and touched up other areas that are painted white in our house. And then I vacuumed. And then cleaned out the dvr. And then took out the garbage. See, I can be productive when I need to be.
And late this afternoon, I downloaded some new itelephone games, including Tetris. Sweet lord. It's like junior high all over again. I'm officially readdicted to Tetris. Crap. There goes all my free time...

Sick and sappy.
So I'm still sick. And when I'm sick, I always think about my Mamaw. I'm not sure why, but she always comes to mind when I'm sickly. In all my snottiness, I got out a box of some of her old pictures. But I found something more instead...
So back in college, Bob and I were really good friends. Best friends. And being best friends, we made each other our back up marriage plan (mainly because my original back up plan came out of the closet our sophomore year of college, and I'm happy to report he's been practically married to Dennis for the last few years). So if neither Bob or I were married by ages 26 and 28, we'd marry each other.
Well, as things happen, Bob and I did NOT marry each other at 26 and 28. It ended up being 31 and 33 instead. While looking at Mamaw pics, I found this card. It's my college graduation card from Bob. He'd also put one of his business cards in there, good for one free meal at one of two of our favorite places, as long as I went with him.
I love this boy! And for some reason, he loves me. Even with all my snot and sappiness.

Fetal position shaped pillow for one.
The total number of shits that Jack gives that I'm sick... Zero.
When he wants a pillow, he gets a pillow, damn it.

Who doesn't love puppies?
All the travel, alcohol, and time zone changing have caught up with me. Instead of an actual post, go look at some cute puppies (scroll to bottom for livestream).

Diet Dr. Pepper. As a garnish?
So I'm sick. Like sinus infection, snot dripping, hacking up nastiness sick. I know ya'll wanted those details. You're welcome.
The other night I made my dinner, rotisserie chicken and green beans. I reached to grab THE SALT SHAKER, but missed it and grabbed my OPEN Diet Dr. Pepper instead. Before I realized it, I had doused my beautiful plate of rotisserie chicken and green beans with.. Diet Dr. Pepper. Not happy.
As I was replacing my soaked chicken and green beans with dry chicken and green beans, I remembered another such occasion when I wasn't lucky enough to have dry food... One of my childhood friends, Julie Beard, and I went to Pizza Inn before a football game, sometime around 5th-ish grade. I accidentally spilled my full entire glass of Dr. Pepper onto our freshly made pizza. And my Daddy made us eat it anyway. Ohmygah. I was soo embarrassed! Oh the humiliation of eating Dr. Pepper soaked pizza!
Being a decision making adult (who soaked their dinner) made me truly appreciate my... adulthood. If my Daddy had been there, he probably would have made me eat the first plate. Gah. Parents can be so mean.
